On slopes above the Yonne river valley, 15 km from Chablis, a handful of winemakers are cultivating a reputation for an exceptional Pinot Noir at the northernmost limit of possibility...and the Domaine Richoux is their locomotive.

Felix and Gabin Richoux, like their father, Thierry, before them, are the reference in Irancy and are widely considered to be among the top producers in all of Burgundy.

Here's their 2018 vintage single-vineyard Irancy 'Veaupessiot to prove it.
For some reason, vintages come to maturity at different times in Irancy than they do in the Cote D'Or, two hours drive to the south. And the Richoux Brothers release their wines as they become ready to drink. So the 2018s are just coming out now.
